Layover charges apply when a driver is required to remain overnight or beyond normal service hours due to shipper or receiver delays, including but not limited to facility closures, loading/unloading delays, or scheduling issues.

Dry Run Minimum: When a truck arrives and the freight is unavailable, refused, not ready, or the appointment is missed, the dry run charge of $300 minimum applies plus any actual miles traveled at the current rate per mile.
Re-delivery or reconsignment charges apply when freight cannot be delivered as originally scheduled and must be returned, re-routed, or re-delivered to an alternative location.

Border delay charges apply to delays at international border crossings caused by customs, agricultural inspections, or regulatory agencies including CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency), CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection), and USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).

Important Limitation of Liability: Carrier is not responsible for product damage, spoilage, contamination, or loss resulting from improper loading by shipper, inadequate product quality, insufficient product temperature at pickup, or any product defect. Carrier's sole responsibility is maintaining the temperature setpoint as specified on the Bill of Lading. Shipper must ensure products are properly pre-cooled and packaged for transit before loading.
Stop-off charges apply when a shipment requires multiple pickup or delivery locations beyond the standard single pickup/single delivery rate.

Definition: A stop-off is any additional pickup or delivery location beyond the origin and destination specified at the time of dispatch. Stop-offs must be arranged prior to pickup and may affect transit time.
After-hours and weekend service charges apply when pickup or delivery is required outside normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time).

Applies To: Pickups or deliveries requested before 7:00 AM or after 6:00 PM local time, on weekends, or on statutory holidays. Advance notice of at least 24 hours is required.
Scaling and overweight adjustment charges apply when a driver must divert to a certified scale, make weight adjustments, or resolve overweight situations to comply with legal weight limits.

Note: Shipper is responsible for providing accurate weight information. Overweight situations caused by inaccurate declared weight are subject to all additional costs including fines, tolls, and delay charges.
A fuel surcharge may be applied to all shipments to offset fluctuations in diesel fuel prices. The surcharge is calculated as a percentage of base freight charges and is subject to change based on market conditions.

The current fuel surcharge percentage is published monthly and available upon request. The fuel surcharge in effect at the time of pickup applies to the shipment.
Calculation: Fuel surcharge is calculated as a percentage of base freight charges and appears as a separate line item on invoices.
Charges apply when freight is refused by the consignee, is inaccessible, unsafe, improperly packaged, or otherwise cannot be loaded or delivered as scheduled.

Important: Freight that is refused, unclaimed, or held for more than 5 business days after first delivery attempt may be subject to storage fees of $50–$150 per day. Future Link Logistics is not responsible for spoilage, damage, or loss of refused or abandoned freight.
All accessorial charges are fully enforceable.
Disputes: Disputes regarding accessorial charges must be submitted in writing within 7 business days of invoice date. Payment of undisputed amounts is due when due. Pending dispute resolution does not relieve Customer of payment obligations.

By tendering freight for transport, the Shipper, Customer, and/or Consignee acknowledge and agree to all charges and terms outlined herein. These charges constitute a binding tariff agreement between the parties and are enforceable regardless of any conflicting terms in shipping documents, purchase orders, or other agreements.
